"BACK in BLACK"

Look what's a comin' around the bend...

HOMECOMING 2010

I think we all remember the
$2 "Blackout" shirts ...
or have we forgotten?
Has the memory of how we scrambled, panicked and acted like
raving maniacs to secure one of
those beauties escaped us?

Well watch out because
 they're back!

Not only are they back but they're BIGGER and BETTER!
Afterall, two is always better than one!
Yes, you heard us...
TWO!

If you don't have the red, you'll miss out.
If you don't have the black, you'll miss out.
You must have BOTH, to truly be
"BACK in BLACK"

This year Coach Cloward, Chad Johnson and our local businesses have made this possible for just $5 per set of 2 tee shirts.

Yes, TWO shirts for just $5!

We won't be raving maniacs like last year.
We will be civilized, calm, well behaved and
ORDER what we need.

We will give EVERYONE a chance to be
"BACK in BLACK"

There are lots of options available so click on the order form, print it out and return it to GHS by October 1, 2010 (that's THIS Friday) and let's show Judge real, true, deep
HOMETOWN PRIDE!!

***Note: Read the order form completely as there are instructions on it.

Cowboys support their own!

Once in awhile, life presents us with an opportunity to make a real difference.
That time in life has arrived as a "Mother of Cowboy Football" lost her life Saturday.

Please help us let the
Bouwman Family
know the Cowboys care!

Push the red button below and become a part of this great effort.

Angela...
Your smiling face will be missed. Thanks for giving GHS their own "Rudy" as well as 4 other great "Bouwman Cowboys". May you know that you have made a difference in this place and you'll never be forgotten.
Much Love, The Cowboy Family

Grantsville vs. San Juan

I think it is pretty clear why San Juan won the state 2A title last year.  They are the best football team we have played so far.  They were very tough up front and were very physical.  They jumped on us early, as we again started the first half slow.  I thought our defense played much better during the second half but we just couldn’t get anything going offensively.  When two of your leading rusher’s net zero yards, I think that makes a big statement to just how good San Juan’s defense played tonight.  We are going to have to rethink things this week as we start region play next week at Ben Lomond.  We have got to figure out how we can come out stronger the first half and compete in all four quarters.  In our region, we can’t continue to just play the last two quarters and be competitive.

Thanks for your support,
Coach Tony Cloward

Grantsville vs. Millard

I was very concerned about Millard this week, and I believe the Eagles lived up to my apprehension.  Again our defense played well enough to keep us in the game during the first half as our offense continued to struggle out of the gate.  It is a trend that is becoming worrisome.  After I got after them at the break, I think they responded the second half with a better effort.  We ran the ball well but lacked balance with our passing attack and couldn’t get the ball in the end zone when given the opportunities.   I thought Millard came through late in the fourth and just wanted it more than we did.  We will have to take this loss and learn from it as next week won’t be any easier.

Hang with us,
Coach Tony Cloward

Grantsville vs. North Sanpete

North Sanpete posed some problems for us early, but I thought our defense kept us in the game during the first half.  Lincoln Kelley’s big interception fired up our defense which shut out North Sanpete for three quarters.  Offensively, we were sluggish during the first half which was duly noted and addressed in the locker-room at half time.  I thought we played much better the second half and again I think conditioning played a big role.  We started controlling the line of scrimmage better giving our running backs the opportunities they needed to move the chains. If we are controlling the line of scrimmage and running well, we will win football games.

Go Cowboys!

Grantsville vs. Wasatch

I’m pleased with how we came out and got after Wasatch defensively.  We bent on several occasions but we didn’t break.  As the game went on I felt we grew stronger defensively and started wearing Wasatch down.  I was also pleased with our special teams play.  Lincoln Kelley’s kickoff return gave us a spark that we were able to keep ignited throughout the seconded half.  His punt return also provided a short field for us to capitalize on down the stretch.  I was also pleased with our conditioning.  We have worked hard all summer and in fall camp to be physically prepared to play.  I think we were in better shape than Wasatch tonight which I believe lead to our victory.  It’s a great way to start the season.

Cowboy fans are the best,
