Grantsville vs. Wasatch

Once again we opened up the Grantsville Cowboy football season by playing Wasatch.

In typical fashion the game was hard fought and close. We entered the game with very little varsity experience and a young overall team. This showed in the first half of the game as we made some youthful mistakes. We lost the first half 13 to 0. At halftime the coaching staff reassured the team that they no longer lacked that experience . They now had a half of varsity football, so lets go to work. The team responded and won the second half 14 to 7. Making the final score 20 to 14 for Wasatch. We didn't feel like we got beat; we just felt like we ran out of time. Our physicalness and conditioning was wearing down the much bigger, talented Wasatch team. Given just a few more minutes you never know what might of happened.

The goal for this next week is to play a whole game and not just the second half. Below are the stats from week 1.
